About Me

I grew up in New Orleans, LA and attended University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) for my undergraduate degree.
I was accepted into the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Pfeiffer University which prompted my move to Charlotte, NC to begin my journey as a therapist.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), I provide systemic and relational therapy for family systems. My clinical career has seen me practice in a variety of settings, resulting in my unique approach to treating clients.
Family Services Intern at Ronald McDonald House of Greater Charlotte. I provided therapy for families of sick or injured children during their greatest time of need.
As a residential therapist at Thompson Child and Family Focus’s Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) I provided a trauma informed treatment approach to children ages 5-17.

After graduate school, I was able to work with substance abuse clients at McLeod Center where I developed a passion for working with addiction and its effect on families. My experience in substance abuse led me to pursue my LCAS (Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist), allowing me to effectively work with clients facing addiction issues. I leverage a non-judgmental approach to assess the clients’ situation and explore the unique challenges of their addiction and subsequent impact it can have on their loved ones.

I entered the private practice setting at Progress and Peace Counseling Services. I worked with individuals and their families by offering support for adolescent behavioral problems, school difficulties, parenting, blended family concerns. Progress and Peace transitioned from group practice to solo practice, I joined Dogwood Counseling as a contract therapist. I had the opportunity to support clients through life experiences such as grief/loss, anxiety, depression, difficulty adjusting to major life changes.

In 2023 I decided to open a private practice, and SouthPark Counseling was created. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. I have extensive training and experience helping clients manage co-occurring disorders, heal from trauma, and major life transitions. I currently provide therapy virtually or in person at my office in Charlotte, NC.

When I’m not helping my clients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter and our mini Bernedoodle. I love listening to live music, traveling, and binge watching the occasional Netflix show.
